Baby Girl

I had a follow up ultrasound yesterday because the baby wasn't real cooperative at the first one. They couldn't see all the anatomical parts they were looking for. When it came time to find out the sex, the tech was confident enough to go ahead and say it was a girl, but wanted to have it confirmed again. So as of yesterday they said she was most definitely a girl. She was being shy again and kept flipping around and had her legs together, but she eventually gave us a quick glimpse. Daddy is very proud of her for being so modest. ;)

Here's a profile shot of her. She keeps her hand up by her face a lot.

Last Game

Today was Noah's last soccer game for the season. I'm sad, but we will be signing him up for fall season since he seems to be having fun with it.

Red ligt, green light drills are his favorite.
Ready, set, go! Love this girls excitement.
He's got his game face on.
How many kids can we stuff in the goal?
This looks like Noah is about to score, but really the other kid is kicking it. Noah is assisting.

 Go Noah! Go!
They got certificates at the end.
Noah was so proud and so are we.

 Ethan looking cool.

TN Air Show

This past weekend we got to go see the TN Air Show again. Last year the USAF Thunderbirds performed, but this year the Navy's Blue Angels put on the show. It was pretty cool timing because just a couple of weeks ago while in FL, we went to the Naval Aviation Museum and got to sit in some of the Blue Angel jets. We loved seeing them in action.

This was actually taken from our front porch 2 days before the show while the Blue Angels were practicing. Each year it seems that we get a preview.
 Blue Angels
This was a huge plane. USAF C-130
Ethan liked all the smaller planes, but when the jets started coming out he was terrified. They flew directly over us several times and he would bury himself against us. They were extremely loud.
Noah replaying the show for us.

These planes may be small compared to the other ones, but they can do some crazy stunts.
Look closely and you can see the pilots head.
Snuggle time.

B-1 jet. This one was really cool too.
 C-130 coming right at us.
Totally looks like he's about to take out the light post and a couple of birds.
And here come the Blue Angels.

 CRAZY!!!
It's nerve racking how close they get to each other.
 Love how uniformed they are.

They're coming straight down at us.

Noah's own Blue Angel he got in FL.

Family Vacation At The Beach

We had a great time with Oma and Opa (Josh's mom and step-dad) in Destin, FL.  It was the boys first time to the beach and they were both nervous about the water at first. Noah warmed up to it faster than Ethan did. The beach was beautiful and so peaceful. I'll admit I did not want to leave. Now I have to warn you that I've posted a lot of pictures. I took over 600 and so I narrowed them down as best as I could. I posted a few more on Facebook if you want to see more.

Ethan was pretty excited about being there.

 Our View from the balcony.
Ahhh.....
 Yay!!!
The first morning we were sitting on the balcony having our coffee and we spotted some dolphins chasing after a school of fish.
 Relaxing and reading a magazine.

Got him. I tricked him into getting a picture of him smiling.
Noah took this with my phone of Oma and Opa on our way to dinner.
We went to the Back Porch to celebrate Juli's birthday. One of our favorite restaurants.
Now this is a vacation.
Dinner with an amazing view.

It was a little bright on the deck.
After dinner we went for a stroll down the Harbor Walk Village.
Heading down to the water.

The water was a little cold. He wasn't a fan.
 Playing in the sand.
Me and my big belly. A little over 20 weeks.
This is how the pregnant ladies lay out on the beach. Make your husband dig a belly sized hole. ;)
 And the war begins.
 Tough guy.

 Hmmm...not sure about this.
 Nice face!

 Opa and Noah at war.

 In deep thought.

 Get 'em Ethan!

Opa got washed up on shore on his boogie board.

 Reload time.
 Ooooo....
 Ahhhh...

 Another tough guy.

 Love the tongue sticking out.

Daddy and Noah going for a stroll.

Noah was determined to catch these birds.

 Let's get mommy.
They got me right in the camera.
 Clinging to Opa.

 Oma and Ethan

The only way we could get Noah to look in the general direction of the camera was to yell "Look! A plane!". Worked like a charm.
He was a little crabby that day.
 What are you looking at?

 Need a little more sand.
Being so careful not to spill the water.
He liked to yell into the bucket.

Here Ethan, I got some water for you.
 Let me give you some.
 Oops!
Ethan quickly learned to just put the bucket down and stand back.
 The future LaFave castle.
 All covered in sand.
 Noah caught a tiny fish.
Can you see it down at the bottom of the bucket?
 Looking at seashells.

 Pitiful. Just pitiful.
 Now he's happy.
 Love kisses from my baby.
Not the most flattering from me, but I still love this.

Multitasking: sucking the thumb while getting a piggy back ride.
Just hanging out.
We had a couple of rainy days so we drove out to Pensacola to see the Naval Aviation Museum.

The boys LOVED all the planes, helicopters and jets.

 "Look at that!"
He said "mommy can I have that?".  Sure honey, no problem!
Even girls can fly jets!
Opa feeling like a kid again.

 The Blue Angels
 He was just so excited.

 The Blue Angels

We tried to get one nice photo of the boys together, but instead our children look crazy.
 The President's helicopter.
 Opa giving some flying lessons.

The conversation these two were having was hilarious. I'll have to post the video later.
I spy mommy.
